Left of Remelys around 5 with D Chubb his son Taylor a new friend Randy and my son JR. took our morning shower on the way out. Set out our spread and a triple, we boated one fish there. Had a pep talk and nothing for a bit, moved a bit south and set out triple, four on, four on, four on, triple, four on. Wow that was fun. Set back out cleaned the boat and bam on the 9/0 planner rod goes off, my son is on him and he almost gets pulled out the boat, Taylor is on him now, huge bull remeber this is Taylor’s first trip and frist time on that big of a rod with a 70 plus lb bull on fire, this bull goes deep then sides us on a big run .and almost pulls him out the boat, then comes the tail walking and flipping and another run. It is my thought that the fish won here by tiring out the angler, the bull comes up tail walking head shaking on a big run at the boat and there goes the hook. A great fight and great fun for Taylor on his first trip. We had a great day made new friends and hooked some new fisherman for the future. Life is good and thanks to my good friend Dave Chubb for coming offshore bring his son and his friend and mine now Randy. Oh yea my son as ussally hog all the fish he could get, great job JR. Thanks you GOD
Ah the big one that got away!
that’s the days that keep us fishing. for a kid, a big fish lost is longer remembered than one that was caught.
