Morris Island overnight? no one wants to go?

Head out Saturday do alittle back side fishin’ and then a little front side night fishin’ sharkin? camp overnight and fish the backside all day sunday?

Anyone wanna go?

I honestly have never been out to morris island… but from what I can tell from the Sat images there appears to be a few trees in the center of the island. Are they big enough for a hammock? also is it legal? fire or no fire?

also Can you pull in a small shark on a Med weight pole? or am I asking for trouble and a broken rod? Should I just go and pickup a cheap surf caster?

email me or call if you wanna go

I wouldget a surf rod and 25lb mono and some heavy leaders. Might not be too many sharks around this time of the year. Could pick up some big spottails though. Cut mullet or blue crab on the bottom. It is pretty shallow and flat out there. Might have better luck around the rocks that stick out or maybe closer to the lighthouse.

If and when you go to the island, make sure that your boat is properly secured and out away from the island . I have seen many boats stranded until next high tide do to poor insite on tide and wind.

-If you don’t like what I say…TOO BAD

Spent the night on the island… expected maybe a few people… ended up talking around a fire with 3 Phd’s very interesting. Fires are not a problem and camping no one cares its all good near the point.
