Mosquito Lagoon/Brunswick

Headed down to Mosquito Lagoon this past weekend to do some fishing with a buddy for my birthday. We got there before sunrise on Sunday and started the morning out by running into some sandbars and finding a small red on a bank. Ended the day catching half a dozen trout in the 10"-16" range and one 26" trout and 2 small reds. We saw about 7-8 big gator trout as we were cruising over the “pot holes” but couldn’t get any of them to bite.

Lets just say fishing Mosquito Lagoon isn’t as easy as sounds but it was still one hell of a trip. We decided to head back to Brunswick and sight fish for some reds. With all the fog it was hard to see the fish before spooking them but once the fog gave a little it was on. Ended up tagging 4 reds in the 26"-31" range to end our fishing weekend.

Those are some nice looking trouts
