Mosquito Lagoon

Looking for information on fishing the lagoon. Looking for a recommendation on a guide.

No help on the guide, but fishing is great! I lived in Titusville back in the 80’s. Reds, trout, and snook. I have seen some HUGE redfish caught on the east end of Haulover Canal. Have Fun!

3 of us stayed at Oak Hills Fish Camp in April. Pretty sure it was around $100/night with everything we needed and located in the mid lagoon west of George’s Bar.

We didn’t hire a guide, but this location was very convenient.

Boat traffic was light on weekdays and picked up a good bit on the weekend.

Enjoy

I fished there about 3 years ago with Chris Myers. He was a great guide and worked hard to catch fish. We caught 8 or 9 reds that were all good size and he was disappointed that we didn’t catch more we also caught a bunch of trout. I’d recommend him. He puts a lot into his business and puts out a lot of informational videos on you tube.

Look into native fly charters. I have a friend that uses him and he seems great.

Thanks everyone. I had already talked with Captain Willy Le from Native Fly Charters. Looking at captain Chris Myers too. Had watched his you tube videos the other night.

I always fish with Capt. Nate Lemmon when I got down. Good guy that’s a real student of the Lagoon. http://www.floridasightfishing.com/
He gives weekly reports and advise. Check out his FB page https://www.facebook.com/FloridaSightFishing.

Here’s one he put my wife on in less than 2’ of water.

Local bait shops are your best bet on finding a good guide. I’m not sure where your staying but it would definitely be worth your while to take a trip to Sebastian inlet. Huge reds snook and this time of year you don’t know what you’ll catch
