Any experience out there on motherboarding kayak on boat to fish in shallow water that boat won’t float in. I would anchor near & use kayak to get to spot. Then just pull back to ramp verses trying to lift back in boat?? Any insight would helpful before investing in yak. Thanks
Towing a yak behind a boat can be a challenge. If you get your bridle length right it will ride pretty well in the whitewash; get the bridle length wrong and it will start to porpoise behind your boat. I had one go submarine a few years back and rip the cleats off the boat.
since then I drag the yak back into the boat

We used to make a bridle up by running a line down thru the front scuppers then thru a bow handle loop so the force is pulling on the scuppers not the handle and it also tends to keep the bow up and keep them from submarineing, we would hook 4 or 5 in a line together like that and tow em pretty fast!
Edit to add: Spent a bit of time getting lengths of tow line and bridles right and experimenting with different methods. It can get dicey real fast towing something, tremendous force can be generated in a split second if something goes wrong.
