Mothers day out

As our mothers day present this weekend we got out of the house and sent the wife to the spa.

Fished Saturday am with several large reds testing our knots and line around structure not many made it to the yak. Zac had one that I thought I was going to have to pour water on his reel to cool it down before it wrapped around structure and popped a 30lb flour leader.

Sunday decided to hit a different spot and actually got into quite a few trout which was nice considering the winter and they were fat.

Sorry I missed out on the trip. I made it out for a couple hours on Sunday to Shem Creek but it was very busy and not very productive. It was a great day for a paddle though.
