When I tilt my motor down it starts bouncing violently about half way down. When the motor hits the trim stage it stops bouncing. I have replaced/bleed the fluid, tightened the tilt tube nut and greased the fittings there. This helped some but it still does it. If I lift up on the motor to give it more resistance while trimming down it stops bouncing. The pistons look clean as can be. I’m thinking maybe the tilt cylinder pin might be corroded and binding? Any help is appreciated. About 5 months ago I replaced my fluid, it looked kind of milky like water was in it. I used transmission fluid. The fluid looks fine now, no water. Just throwing that info out there in case that could be the culprit.
something binding will definitely cause that
tilt tube, or pivot pin
Thanks Chris, I am going to start with the pivot pin. Looking at the sides, it seems to be corroded. Anything tricky about removing and replacing. I’m guessing trim the motor down onto some blocking, knock the pin out and put the new one in. But nothing is ever as easy as I think.

you should be able to trim the motor onto the trailer stop
