old 30 mariner. REALLY old mid 80’s. im 2nd or 3rd owner. usually a 2 pull motor. 1st w choke out, then 2nd w choke in and cranks right up. if not floods easily. anyway sat for several months and wont crank. poured little gas straight into spark plug holes and it fired. otherwise wont fire. fuel filter is clean. where do i look next? replaced spark plugs, new gas/oil and new fuel line and bulb.

I had a similar problem with my '85 Evinrude 20 hp. The needle valve in the carb was gummed up. I took the carb apart, cleaned it with carb cleaner, blew it out with air and put it back together. She started on the second pull.
