Guys,
I am thinking of swapping a nice low hour Yamaha 225 4 stroke for a 300 Yamaha 4 stroke.
Does anyone here have any recommendations on who and where?
any input is appreciated.

What do you call “low hour”.
I have a “nice low hour” F150 that I would lean towards trading on a “nice low hour 225 four stroke”
Is it possible we might be able to work together for the benefit of us both?

Roland, now the same question to you. I have a 150 I am thinking of upgrading to a newer model.

Reading comp is tough around here.
F300 is a very good economic unit that most that had stepped up to the f350 wished they had waited for.

You’re looking to trade a 225…I’m looking for a 225.
What’s the monetary difference between my 150 and your 225? That’s where you and I work from unless you just don’t want to be bothered, at which point maybe you will let me know what dealer you are going to trade with and I can deal with them…and let them make money off of your 225 as well as the 300 that you are buying.

George, my motor is a 2005 with 410 hours. Just completed service and had everything checked. When I say everything, I mean EVERYTHING…even had the techs pull the harmonic balancer twice to double check clearances, bearings, gear backlash. Some people have had trouble with the HBs and I wanted to be extra sure. I just purchased this boat/motor combo in Sept knowing the boat would be slightly underpowered. It performs well, but all the while I will be looking for a comparable 225 to replace the 150. If I find one that fits the bill I will be removing the 150. Stay tuned here and see where this goes.

Roland,
Sent you an email. Are you interested in selling outright so that you can buy that newer 225?

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.
