had the day off today so hit the lake this morning solo around 6:30. great day started the day with one on a buzz bait! proly put ten or more keepers (14")in the boat. none over 5 lbs but lots of fun, bite was steady all day. some on small swim bait but most on worm (slowly).
ok here is the thing i usually gut hook a few fish and digging the hook out or cut the line and leave the hook in, 9 out of 10 times kills the fish for me. so i bought some heavy duty cutters and today i pushed the point end of the hook through to where i can cut it off point and barb on one side and the rest just slides out. i did this with the four fish i gut hooked today and some real bad( blood everywhere) and they all made it, even after being in the livewell. all released and happy! here is the lucky four
