My buddy told me he was Cat Fishing near Short Stay. He witnessed 5 boats chasing Schools of Striper. Said he saw nobody keeping any but saw several dead ones floating. It is illegal to posess or catch Striper from May 1st through September 30th.

I was catfishing the other night and seen some guys striper fishing near the (**(). I let them know the rules so they left. It sounded they didn’t know the rules.
Everyone has a cell phone these days…Don’t forget about the Operation Game Thief # on the back of your license (1-800-922-5431). Law Enforcement needs your eyes; particularly these days. Give them a call and even if they can’t respond that minute, at least they can develop a pattern of behavior at a particular spot. Some of it is still ignorance of the law and some if it isn’t. Just so it stops and we can rebuild our striper population to its full potential.
