I got out Tuesday for a few hours even though it was 48 degrees and spitting rain on me. Ended with 16 total, mostly brookies with a couple of raibows and a single brown. The kicker was that brown went 19 inches and was fat like a football. Twas a good fight on a 4 wt. He got down in the current, which was running a little full from the rain last weekend, and it was hard to get him out. All I saw for the first couple of minutes was a glimpse of his tail as he kept his head down looking for that deep, fast water. The worst part was I left my camera on my desk back at home. Brown double beed stone fly, size 8 was the ticket. Anyone else catching them up in the mountains?
