mounting outriggers

I have a Sea Hunt 202 and would like to mount Lee’s 15’ outriggers on the T-top. They are 4 piece poles with flush perko mounts. I was wondering if the cross plate on the T-top is strong enough for these if I drill a hole in the middle to mount them. If not I will need to have new cross plates fabricated and welded on the T-top.

I know Happy Bob is well recommended, but who else could do this type of work since he is located in Columbia? I live on James Island.

If I remember corrctly, the plates you are talking about are 1/4" thick X 4" wide X approx. 10" long. You shouldn’t have any problems mounting your Perko mounts there.

PS: If I get enough guys who need repairs or jobs like yours done, I’ll spend a full(sun-up til sun-down) day down that way. And give you a group rate on my travel time.
