mounting stereo and vhf in glove box

My future boat will be challenged with extra room for things. One of these is where to mount a stereo head and a vhf. I have thought about installing a fairly large glove box and mounting the VHF and stereo inside.

Does anyone know if there would be problems with having them so close together. (side by side)?

PS----there is no electronics box. I am hoping to avoid that.

Flush mount a Fusion RA-205 and an Icom 304 wherever you can. Almost an identical cutout/footprint and both are waterproof.

Flush mount on the console. Much better access.
