Moving Water for trout.

Both trips this past week were a waste of fuel and time.I know My Trout spots must have moving water to be effective areas.Yet I went anyway and hoped for the best.I had to leave both times because the riders on board had to be back at the landing at a set time.I had to leave the trout spot just as the water was starting to get right.Next trip will be better planned you can count on that.Another problem is the water in my creek. If not planned right I will be high and dry 100 yards from my dock. That happens all the time and I hate it.Going alone is the only way to insure I have no problem getting out or in my creek.I have to plan how much water i have to leave the dock and still make it out of the creek to deeper water. One time I filled up and had two riders and we got stuck half way out.Forgot the extra weight bottomed us out.We had to sit for 3 hours in my creek.Guys were good about it but i know they were pissed inside. So if I tell you guys We are going fishing be at my dock ready to go 30 minutes before I tell you what time to show up.It takes most of the people 30 minutes to unload, run to the bathroom and walk down to the boat. Anyone else on a shallow creek have problems? I have now about 1 foot of water on a low tide.:frowning_face:Thought about selling the Sea Hunt and getting a Flats rig.I could pole out then at any tide.:smiley: Have a safe Summer and fish hard!!

You coulda bought a flats rig that already had a power pole… atleast that way you wouldn’t have verbally abused any seagulls while you were pulling on your snake!
