Mr. Green Jeans

Stopped me today out of Folly to check my cooler and license, at about 4 or 4:30. They said theyd been checking all day and nobody had caught anything! Is that the story everywhere today?
Mud Minnows and Zman shrimp on a 1/8 jig head worked decent for me today. Small flounder, over slot 25" red and 2 smaller slot fish.

14’ Skiff-“Redfish Reaper”

Was for me and another guy I spoke with at the ramp. Nice day though.

I was stopped by DNR the last 2 Sundays…they love pulling me in my Jon boat. Fortunately, I had all my safety gear…unfortunately, I did have any fish to show them. They said it has been slow recently also.

DNR showed up at the nearshore reef around 3:00 Sunday. There was about 6 boats fishing at the time. They looked over at me and my buddy and I guess they noticed we had on life vest on and pulled up to the boat next to us. I looked back about 2 minutes later and 5 out of 6 other boats were racing back to the harbor. About that time I realized it was time to join the race and head home.

I Fished from sun-up till about 1130 and i didnt see or catch anything. Put in at the old bridge (pitt st) and hit the docks behind Sullivans. Used MM and a art. shrimp. Very strange to not see ANY baitfish in the tidle creek coming back in. Great day to get out on the water though. Hoping for some better luck tomorrow!

All fishermen are liers except me and you and I’m not sure about you.

Why do you think everyone took off like that? It’s not like they could outrun Mr. Green jeans.

Occams, you dont have to outrun him…you just have to outrun 1 other boat

We took off because the tide was about to start moving again and it was already pretty rough. We tried to wear out the black sea bass, but they wore us out pretty good. We were about ready to roll when they showed up.

I can’t speak for the rest of the boats. Maybe they had also planned to roll out at the tide change too.

Ahh ok, that makes sense. Thanks. We were out Saturday inshore and saw more DNR boats than I think I ever have.
