Has anyone sent public comments regarding proposed changes to the Magnuson-Stevens Act?

Chairman Hastings,
I fully support the Council for Sustainable Fishing comments below regarding your proposed Magnuson-Stevens Act legislation and would like to add that permit holders should be allowed to pick who represents us on the regional councils. Recent political appointments for commercial seats on the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council do not reflect the interests of most commercial fishermen in the affected fisheries. The two recent appointments of South Atlantic Fishermen?s Association members seem to have been made based on heavy lobbying by the Environmental Defense Fund Corporation that set up SAFA to advance their catch share agenda.
