Team Well Hung pulls in a big one to win on the Hill.
On August 18, 2018, the Midlands Striper Club held its August tournament on Clark’s Hill / Thurmond Lake Tournament. 15 teams participated in the Tournament. A total of 30 striped bass were brought to the scales weighing a total of 203.6 pounds with a 6.79- pound average. All 15 teams were able to bring a full two fish creel to the scales.
Finishing in first place with a total weight of 23.27 pounds was Team Well Hung captained by Jason Tarlton from Saluda, SC, along with Brett McDowell and Jacob Black also from Saluda, SC.
Team Well Hung also won the Justin Christopher Big Fish Award sponsored by The Nichols Store with a 17.89-pound Striper.
Finishing in second place with a total weight of 19.84 pounds was Team Reel Em’ Up captained by Donnie Price from West Columbia, SC along with youth angler, Nathan Price, and Paul Gilley along with youth angler, Turner Gilley, both from Lexington, SC.
Finishing in third place with a total weight of 18.01 pounds was Team Even Kreel captained by John Sightler from Chapin, SC along with Jeff LeCount also from Chapin, SC and Jaimie Richardson from St. Mathews, SC.
Lady Angler Award went to Liz Sineath from Team Stone Age.
Youth Angler Awards went to Nathan Price and Turner Gilley from Team Reel Em’ Up.
