Team of the Year tightens up after a foggy November Tournament.
Midlands Striper Club held its monthly Lake Murray tournament out of Acapulco SC on November 17, 2018. 22 teams participated in the MSC November Tournament. A total of 38 striped bass were brought to the scales weighing a total of 235.69 pounds with a 6.20-pound average. 18 teams were able to bring a full two fish creel to the scales.
Finishing in first place with a total weight of 17.56 pounds was Team Knot IV Reel Guys captained by JD Humphrey from Lexington, SC, along with Timothy Hendricks from Irmo, SC. The Justin Christopher Big Fish Award sponsored by the Nichols Store also went to Team Knot IV Reel with a 10.06-pound Striper.
Finishing in second place with a total weight of 16.16 pounds was Team Landlocked captained by Joey Smoak from Lexington, SC, along with Wayne Bell, from Prosperity, SC, and Mike Gault from Union, SC.
Finishing in third place with a total weight of 15.19 pounds was Team Reel Kas captained by captained by Steve Riester from Columbia, SC, along with Dalia Riester, also from Columbia, SC.
Lady Angler Award went to Dalia Riester from Team Reel Kaos.
Youth Angler Award went to Aiden Love from Team Next Time.
Finishing in eleventh place with a total weight of 12.38 pounds was Team Motley Crew.
