Clark’s Hill tightens up the Team of the Year points race as only 115 points separates 11th place from 1st place.
Midlands Striper Club held the first of two tournaments on Clark’s Hill on June 15, 2018. 21 teams participated in the MSC June Tournament. A total of 39 striped bass were brought to the scales weighing a total of 205.18 pounds with a 5.26-pound average. 19 teams were able to bring a full two fish creel to the scales.
Finishing in first place with a total weight of 19.65 pounds was Team Landlocked captained by Joey Smoak of Lexington, SC, along with Wayne Bell of Prosperity, SC.
Team Landlocked also won the Justin Christopher Big Fish Award sponsored by The Nichols Store with a 14.79-pound Striper.
Finishing in second place with a total weight of 15.29 pounds was Team Even Kreel captained by John Sightler from Lexington, SC.
Finishing in third place with a total weight of 15.23 pounds was Team Catchall captained by Carl Thompson of Santee, SC, along with Carl Thompson, Jr., also from Santee, SC, and Weston Thomas from Columbia, SC.
Lady Angler Award went to Liz Sineath from Team Stone Age. Youth Angler Award went to RJ Sineath from Team Stone Age.
Finishing in eleventh place with a total weight of 9.95 pounds was Team Fish Sticks.
Finishing in eighteenth place with a total weight of 7.33 pounds was Team Time 2 Fish.
