Through winds and transitions, Team Catch 22 was able to deliver the win.
Midlands Striper Club held its monthly Lake Murray tournament out of Acapulco, SC on April 21, 2017. 35 teams participated in the event bringing 50 striped bass to the scales weighing a total of 317.52 pounds with a 6.35-pound average. 21 teams were able to bring a full two fish creel to the scales.
Finishing in first place with a total weight of 20.86 pounds was Team Catch 22 captained by Capt. Terry Caulder from Little Mountain, SC along with Jacob Caulder and Larry Martin. Team Catch 22 also won the Justin Christopher Big Fish Award sponsored by The Nichols Store with an 11.64 -pound Striper.
Finishing in second place with a total weight of 17.87 pounds was Team Rippin Lips captained by Mike Swygert, along with Trent Swygert, both from Leesville, SC.
Finishing in third place with a total weight of 17.60 pounds was Team Knot Right captained by Allen Rogers from Saluda, SC, along Mitch Long from Ward, SC.
Lady Angler Award went to Liz Sineath from Team Stone Age.
Youth Angler Award went to Jacob Caulder from Team Catch 22.
Finishing in eleventh place with a total weight of 12.61 pounds was Team CJ’s Towing.
