Joby

Congrats to all the top finishers in both tournaments. It’s great to see the tournament won with big fish and encourages us all to keep at it!

Thanks to all the sponsors that made the tournament a success once again!!! Finally, thanks to everyone that volunteered time to help plan/run the event. Without your assistance we couldn’t pull this off year after year. Now it’s time for team Gar-Heart to start working on a better fishing plan for 2016…

My fishing plan for the remainder of this year and next year is to catch more fish . Now, if the fish will just cooperate…

-The size of a fish is directly proportional to the time between when it’s lost and the story is told. - Me
-What’s the best eating fish, you ask? I’ve found that for a lot people, its the ones that they happen to be able to catch, clean, and cook. - My Dad

-RIP my “Puppy Dog” 10/15/2004 - 1/14/2013. I’ll never forget him. What a special friend he was.

Very nice weather day, the fish just shut off a little earlier than I wish they would have…Congrats to the top finishers!

Thanks again to my sponsors. If you guys visit or use their business, PLEASE thank them for their contributions.
(1) Maurice’s Gourmet BBQ - Lloyd Bessinger, (2) Local Boy Outfitters - Patrick Stamps (3) Busy Bee Lawn Care and Sprinkler Svc - Ashley Brooks.

I was running short on my goal…so my wife was nice enough to make some cakes to benefit the tournament and some friends on facebook placed bids and she was able to raise $200.

Bottom line…the fishing in Murray is improving and for good reason - Continued hatchery and conservation efforts. We’re seeing bigger fish more often and what a great turnaround from 6 or 7 years ago. The 5 and done rule is probably already having a positive impact too. It’s exciting to see 19 and 20lb fish at the scales on a fairly routine basis now. Some really nice fish have been caught this year.

Clark’s Hill? Who? - ok, maybe not at that point yet, but definitely heading the right direction.

I was asked what it would take to win this past weekend As I have been asked the last few tx’s. I said you better have 30# to win. I have been with in 2-3# on my guess each tx this year. It’s been a LONG time since we seen numbers like we are seeing. Very excited for our fishery.

Would love to see Murray rival the hill…it’s coming…but I will say after hartwell fish kill last year Murray is Def running close with hartwell now which we couldn’t say just a couple years ago. And another couple years without a kill we could surpass hartwell…

Good things are to come…

Chip, I think I was a little closer with my guess… I was right on the weight, just wrong on where to catch it lol

If you’ve had fun catching fish on the transom bait, you are welcome…

I’ve spent about 85% of my life’s wages on fishing, the rest I just wasted…

U said 25 I said 30. Winner had 27.27. So I guess u win by .23#…lol… but I bet those fish weighed closer to 30 when they were alive…just giving u a hard time…

Chip, wouldn’t I love to have a lake like Clark’s Hill in my backyard?!
