**** MSC February Tournament Results ****

Another great turnout for the February tournament with some new faces and new teams.

Midlands Striper Club held its monthly Lake Murray tournament out of Acapulco, SC on February 17, 2018. 42 teams participated in the event bringing a total of 60 striped bass to the scales weighing a total of 393.07 pounds with a 6.55-pound average. 27 teams were able to bring a full two fish creel to the scales.

Finishing in first place with a total weight of 17.38 pounds was Team Reel Guys captained by Joby Wetzel from Chapin, SC, along with Marshall West from Lexington, SC.

Team Reel Guys also won the Justin Christopher Big Fish award sponsored by the Nichols Store with a 9.22-pound striper.

Finishing in second place with a total weight of 16.88 pounds was Team Landlocked captained by Richy Brensinger from Lexington, SC, along with Joey Smoak also from Lexington, SC, and Wayne Bell from Prosperity, SC.

Finishing in third place with a total weight of 16.62 pounds was Team Tree My Dog captained by Mike Gault from Jonesville, SC along with Steve Marrow from Prosperity, SC.

Lady Angler Award went to Debbie Alewine from Team Jon Boy.

Youth Angler Award went to Tommy Gearheart from Team Gar-Heart.

Finishing in eleventh place with a total weight of 14.22 pounds was Team CJ’s Towing.

Congrats Marshall and Joby! This is the second time in a few short months we have finished second to y’all! Just can get that extra pound! lol! Great job boys!
