MSC held its monthly team tournament on March 16th out of Sportsman’s Warehouse in con-junction with the Breast Cancer Awareness Tournament. It was a very windy and busy day on the lake, with all the tournaments. Over 81 anglers representing 28 teams participated in the event bringing 60 Striped Bass to the scales in our club tournament!
Taking the First Place honors was Team Hardcore Captain Rick Kellemeyer from Chapin SC, James Lindler from West Columbia SC , Gary Heichelbeck from Lexington SC with their 3 fish creel of 30.25 lbs.
Team Hard Core also captured the Nichols Store of Rock Hill Big Fish award with their Striper tipping the scales at 19.08 lbs
Second Place was awarded to Team Catch 22, Captain Terry Caulder, sons Jacob and Trent of Lexington SC with their 3 fish creel of 26.55 lbs.
Third Place was secured by Team Reel Guys Captain Marshal West and Joby Wetzel from Lexington, SC with their 3 fish creel of 23.08lbs
The events smallest creel award went to Team Sea N Stripes, Captain Chip Bragg. MSC is a family friendly fishing club and honors our top finishing Youth and Lady anglers in each event.
The Youth trophy goes to Jacob Caulder of Team Catch 22 with his second Place finishing spot.
Samantha Morse wins the top finishing Lady Angler award fishing with her husband Keith Morse of Team Fintastic with her 9th place finish.
