They YTD race is hot. Landlocked remains on top with Striper redemption right behind. Look out for Team Jon Boy! After not fishing January they have put together a really consistent year.
As always, if you have questions on points or standings PM me and I will check it out.
Yes indeed. I’ve always said that if you can catch better than a 20 pound 4-fish weigh-in in October, you have a chance to win. Congrats to Jonboy and Debbie for getting it done! You 2 are great anglers who do their own thing and really know the fish. Yall have my great respect for nearly always having a decent weigh-in!
Thanks all for the kind words. I was updating my fishing log after the tournament Saturday, and looked back to see just how many days we have fished… in the past 6 years, we have only managed to fish Murray an average of 7 days per year… not a lot of hook time. Two things we have learned from this as we are trying to care for our aging parents… 1) it is important to have good fishing notes from years ago when we were fishing regularly, and 2) never take a day on the water for granted. Hope to see all of you guys for the November tournament!
Jonboy, that makes your current #4 ranking all the more impressive! I fish 80+ days per year with my various breaks from teaching, and most guides don’t get yours and Debbie’s kind of results. Whatever notes you’re taking, keep it up! Goes to show good fishing takes place mostly between our ears. Again, congratulations!!
