Much needed fishing trip

Makes sense. Also with the winter we have had I am just ready to get out there reguardless of results.

HA … I sit a computer most of the time so it’s easy for me to do … That all being said my fishing plan for Saturday might just be as follows:

Find Chip’s boat …

Setup 100 yards or so behind Chip’s boat …

Do everything Chip does and go everywhere Chip goes …

Hope Chip leaves a few straggler Stiper behind as he catches 30+ more fish …

Hope whatever I’m doing catches whatever (if any) fish Chip leaves behind …

LOLOLOL

If I had the choice I would rather catch zero fish on sat just so the fish gods can reward me with to in the teens next weekend…ha…WAY more $ at stake…

All that being said seems the problem agent was having was Def the bait. It doesn’t matter if you pull a 11-13 rod spread or 4 rod…If your bait isn’t right the fish aren’t going to be as interested. Agent learned about water quality, water temps, that killer foam, etc…next day his best purchase was a bottle of no foam…it won’t be long and I am sure he will be offering advic

Yea. I made a mental note of where you were as I sped by. I tried about a half mile below you for short after short and moved back upriver to finish strong. We all watch. That’s part of the game:smiley:

We plan to take our recent trips and past experiences and try to make it happen this Saturday. Even us experienced guys can fall victim to conditions and paint on the black stripe. That’s fishing!

The water surface temp is fluctuating up and down. Went way up yesterday and I think it dropped about 4 degrees today. Seems like you guys will have a bunch of fun finding fish. Just remember to be careful on the water. It’s still pretty cold for a swim!
Fog, if you can drop by on Saturday, call first. I might be over at Monticello in a tourney or perch jerking on Murray. Only problem up here is more mud coming down! That messes with the perch spoon bite something awful.
