i seen a few boats in the old channel shrimping one was working the point entering muddy bay if you ran thru the ditch comming from hog island. other 2 seemed to be working the ditch that runs towards jones creek…
not sure how often you hit muddy bay but the point facing hog island has a 12ft hole with a point that blocks the mb current… now that gator season is over i will be trying the hole myself… but its worth a shot i should have tried the sensitivity on my Lowrance to see if it was snowy or not. other spot id look at is by about 300 yards past the harvest moon on the left side if you are going in muddy bay… i seen a few guys work the grass on the drop off. 8-12ft didnt stay long to see how they did but it was never the same boat.
I usually try near Jones Creek. I saw about 8 other sets of poles on the bay. I may try moving around a little. There were people spread out everywhere. I always figured one spot is probably as good as the other. Just depends on where you are when the shrimp come through.
