Tried bread but no minnows. Tried crab but nothing. Any thoughts? It is hanging near a dock

Nothing there then. Best places are small creeks that are dry/ nearly dry at low tide. I rarely catch them in a main river

Drive around at low tide, find a small creek that has some oyster rakes nearby and that is cut off at low tide. That’s a good spot for mud minnows. Also I usually catch reds in the area where I catch my minnows, ie the creek mouth. Probably not a coincidence.

Drainage ponds work well, if you can find one.

Caught some today in a drainage pond. Put out some bread pieces in a mesh minnow trap. Chacked about an hour later and had about 10. Came back after another hour and over 25.

get 2 for a dollar Slim Jims…one for you…one for the minnow trap…they will beat it to death and still not tear it up.

Like reusable bait that beats bread. Will have to try it.

just get some fried chicken for lunch. Eat a leg or wing and throw the leftover bone in trap

So it appears they can be caught with anything we would like to eat bacon, bread, chicken, crab(though I prefer mine cooked), lance crackers, slim jims and beanie weenies but maybe not the cuda.

Dog food in a can bust a few holes in it. Low fat of course lol
