I see a sign for “Minnows” on one of the shacks near the shrimp boats in Shem Creek. Does anyone know if they sell them there? I normally buy them at the bait shop on Red Bank road and am looking for other options for gettng them.
Get a minnow trap…easy to catch and a lot cheaper then buying them. 15.00 for trap…almost any bait will do…hot dog weenies, sardines cat food, bread…blue crab…if you catch one save and freeze it…they love manhadden… I toss a trap beside bank at most landings we go to and by time I dump the boat over and park the truck I have some…otherwise…small drain or alongside oyster banks good place…not trying to take away from tackle shops…but sometimes there’s satisfaction in catching y our own bait too
