Muddy Bay Tuesday

Three weeks ago I found a little spot that turned on pretty good Onepoling. Went back last week and got over half cooler of mixed. Went back to it last night (middle area off Cowpens) setup and got some nice ones 2 and 3 at the time on through the evening. I decided to wait out the tide change at 10:40 hoping they would turn on. Tide turned and sure enough the first cast after high tide water started coming in and the net was clicking. Had 30 plus medium/large that cast. I let the bait soak a while longer then hit it hard. But Hey, Jack, they turned slap off. Right away 2 to 3 per cast and small. I was stupid enough to try for another hour waiting and hoping.

I had put in at Georgetown and had to go all the way back. Well, there was a fire burning somewhere and all the smoke mixed with fog on the waterway dropped visibility to zero in spots. It was like shining the Q-Beam in your own face with that fog. Finally got my two quarts of shrimp put up and in bed at 4:00. If it wasn’t for all the fun I thought I was having I would have been miserable. Oh, the sky was crystal clear and beautiful. Milky Way clearly visible. At least a great night for bombing out.

Thanks for the report kj. We got some nice ones there
the day after the gov shutdown.

Smaller shrimp the next weekend.

??? go figure
