We are working on dates for Andros in late May.
I lost my cell phone on the last trip, so you might be getting some international calls…
Sorry for the message in the forums…
To make it a bit more reasonable, the last trip to Andros in late March was done from a kayak exclusively.
The winds were very tough, 15-25 out of the East, not much sun, but I did manage a few bonefish on the flyrod.
Also managed to catch and consume quite a few bottle fish. They tend to school up in groups of 6, 12 or 24. At times, you can find singles, but I usually focus on the larger groups. Their coloration does change, but it’s usually brown, green or relatively clear. Sporting different colors with unusual markings on the outside, they can sometimes make you act a bit silly.
The best part is ripping off their heads and sucking out their insides.
You don’t have to ask…I’m there! Let’s hope the wind is down and the bottle fish are biting! I like the ones that are in schools of 24 plus a drifter at the counter ready to suck out the insides!
I’m assumming that some amount of rum is involved in the "sucking out the insides " …if so …how can I get in on this ?.. I have “ate some tail and sucked some head”(crayfish) in louisianna …does this qualify me ?
