Decided to kayak over to gray bay and try some fishing. However, the winds were howling across the entire bay making for bad conditions. I did manage to snag one trout with a mud minnow on a float rig though. Decided to try some of the creeks around that area and had some luck. I also noticed a lot more bait in the water. Mullet are definitely back. Caught 3 reds on DOA float rig with mud minnows. Pics attached.
You know… the only way to get more intimate with some of these fishing reports is to stick one of those camera pills on a hook and let the fish swallow it. Those pictures of yours are incredibly detailed.
You know I was thinking about doing that haha.
quote:Who wouldn't? I looked at your pictures like I was one of those NOAA scientists. The detail is like I was in some big time university and I was studying your fish under a microscope. WOW!!! The detail that cameras have now-a-days really adds another dimension. Problem is... I'm still the same ole dumb-azz as before the technological advances.

Thanks for the report. Did the fish have any fight in them, or are they still acting sluggish?
“I’m not a hundred percent in love with your tone right now…”
In my humble opinion they all fought well. Both the larger reds I caught were spooling line and acting no different from when I catch them in warmer months. Could be this stretch of warmer weather. Its been so up and down lately with mild and cold days so I would guess that they would be in a bit of a bipolar type state. As with how they feed/fight depending on cold snaps or warmer temperatures. Just my thoughts though, I’m no NOAA scientist.
