The past few runs in the rivers and creeks have been very low visibility. Apart from heading out and checking the fishing spots physically, does anyone have any advice on what may help determine if the water clarity is going to be good or bad the night before heading out? Thanks!
The more water there is and the faster is moves, the lower the visibility.
Rain, large swing tides, super tides, full moon, etc.
Man made things like dumping the dam at tailrace can also change the water clarity.
Use clear and bright colors in clear waters and dark dull colors in murky water.
Thank you sir, good advice.

For the past week or so the water clarity has improved. However, in some areas these is a tannin stain to the water. No worries though, the fish still have to eat. Been having good results with Z-Man MinnowZ lures in Pearl and Opening Night. These colors are quite visible in the stained water.
As the stain clears, I will return to my standard colors of Bad Shad and Houdini. Good luck.
