Same here. I fished between Wessinger and Bomb islands and up the creek toward the Hilton ramp. Marked scattered fish and a few bait balls but no bites. Water was fairly clean (Kind of like weak iced tea) but colder. Warmest water I found was 49 degrees. I was trolling bucktails and swim baits. Didn’t have any live bait since I started the day looking for Bass and Stripers were my backup plan.
throw a chrome rattletrap!!! im a bass fisherman, and the last 2 trips to murray, i couldnt keep the stripers off my line. i had fun though!!

Funny, I went to get some rattlin traps at dooleys and they sold out. Everyone must be reading the bass fishermen’s reports. I have heard throwing up onto shallow, secondary points. My guess would be below the mudline. I am going out the next three days in a row so hopefully I can figure out a pattern.
I haven’t been in about 9 months and just finished repowering the boat and think I am going to do some trolling Friday evening and Saturday evening. I need to test these motors out before I haul it to the coast for kings and dolphin. I am in irmo, what channel do most monitor on the lake?

hey steely; they are called “rattle traps” and maybe you can find them at the sportsmen’s warehouse. i realize that you are trying to talk like us and that is admirable but still needs some work. LOL LOL. jd and i are going to try the crappie thing again sat morning up the river. we have to be at his land around 1pm to burn a couple of piles of push up from clearing the property for his house. hope you get into the stripers.

1 -18 in’ for me …there was no live bait to be found 
oh yeh; i know ray jr. he has been a friend of mine for several years. good man. don’t tell anybody though. LOL LOL
me and ray j work/hunt/fish together…it can be adventurous at times.
