Fished with my dad from 7-noon. Uh-oh, didn’t know there would be a bass and striper tournament. Oh well, at least they’re fishing instead of riding around making waves. Fished shallow areas near the river run with live and cut BB’s. Finally had a run in shallow water around Bomb Island around 9:30. Missed the fish and decided to leave with the other dozen or so boats. Tried one more flat and then decided to try the usual summer pattern. After marking some fish in the channel, we set up at the junction of the river run and a creek. 5 minutes later we boated a 30" fish. Missed several others (one screamer that pulled the hook) and then pulled the plug b/c of other committments that afternoon. East wind and frontal passage had things slow, but still a good day on the water with Pop.
