Hi all, I am new to the board. I would like to say thanks for all of your reports and tips on striper fishing. I have not been striper fishing but for about a year and still have a lot to learn. So any help is appreciated. I was out on the lake Thursday nite and the bite was kind of slow. Caught most off the humps out from the towers b4 dark in 60 fow. Marked plenty of fish but they did not seem to want the bait. Drifted around and wound up at the towers where the fish was not biteing good at all. Stayed out to around 1 am. Ended up with 13 fish. They were decent size but overall it was slow fishing.
Welcome to the group. There are several experienced folks who have been sharing a lot of info on a variety of topics and there is even room for us novices to share our experiences and what we have seen. Your Thursday night adventure sounds like a carbon copy of ours. With so much to learn, we can’t help but improve, and in my opinion, that’s what this forum is for.
Welcome and thanks for the report. You weren’t the boat providing the light show and the music entertainment at the towers that night were ya? Lol

Pattianne I agree with you 100%.This is how we all can learn from one another. Striper Skiff. It was not me with the light show and music. I must say though, it was the first time I ever striper fished at night with ear plugs and sunglasses…lol. I was reading one of your post from about a week ago and I think I may have pulled into better bait when you were there. They had a sign up out of bait and I think you said you were going to get the downriggers ready… May not have been you I just remember the skiff…
Yep, that was me you talked to. Turned out I did have all my DR gear up under the deck, so we were still able to go out. I hadn’t been leaving it on the boat all the time, but I do now…for the summer anyway. It’s been so long since anyone had been out of bait when I went to buy it that it hadn’t even crossed my mind until that day.
