Went out with Steelytom again last night. Dodged a couple storms thank goodness. wind kicked up pretty bad, due west which is no good at all. We put Tom’s boat through a little test crossing the lake, that was fun. Nothing like getting a little air in a boat.
Anyway… we hit the usual places with the usual bait following the usual strategy. 1 lost rod/reel, 1 nice gar, 2 keepers, in that order (all released clean). Don’t ask me how my “new” rod/reel fell out of the rod holder. I think it’s a conspiracy! I think Tom intentionally dumped my rod while I wasn’t looking so he would out fish me! The keepers didn’t hit until the wind died off around 10.
