Got on the water around 5:30 pm and decided to see if we could find any fish schooling. We found a few breaking around goat island and bomb island.They were scattered and on the move. Threw into a few schools but no luck. So we headed back down toward the dam to see if we could mark some fish. Started down lineing in 80fow over 175fow and had some luck. The fish then moved up to 50fow to 60fow under the lights. Had plenty of bait under the boat from 5fow to 25fow. We ended up with the limit around midnite. Seven fish 21" or over and three shorts.The bite was much better than the last to weeks.
Did the bait stay alive in the water? What was the surface temp?
Wellcraft V-20 sportfish with a 200 Evinrude
The bait did not stay alive long maybe three or four minutes. The fish caught had to hit some dead bait. Water temp was 83.4 on deph finder.
