puttng in at the dam…first time in this season so i’m just gonna move around quite a bit, go to some typical springtime haunts and see if we get lucky…definately will wind up in Balentine at some point and possibly even Bear Creek or Beaverdam depending on how snotty the wind gets out there

Had something come up and didn’t make it out Fri nite, but did get out Sat nite. Started trolling along the rocks with the grandkids on the boat, but it wasn’t long before they got bored and we went boat riding until I dropped them off at the dock.
Went back out and trolled from about 10pm -1am back in Balentine without a bite and hung it up.
Had pretty low expectations on my first time out this season, but surely wasn’t expecting to get skunked

I think the front coming through messed up the fishing. It always does. We fished saturday morning/afternoon and got about 5 or 6 shorts. Most were very short and the biggest was about 16" or 17"
