After getting blown away trying to drift the last couple of times out it was nice to find a calm lake. Put in about 7PM with my youngest grandson and drifted a while marking some fish that wouldn’t bite. They turned on at about 8:45 and we got 6 in the next 45 min before we had to leave. Only one keeper, but it was a 27" “big monster striper” that he helped reel in. Great evening on the lake.

Texas, we were just drifting live bait out in the middle of the river channel in approx 150 ft of water about 1/4 mi or so up the lake from the towers. Used the trolling motor to move around until we saw fish and then to keep us there. Caught them 60-75 ft down. Good luck
I may try again this evening if I can pull it off.

Yeah chip, I think I saw you catch one that was about 12".
Just kidding, he was tearing them up. He caught them all within about 50 square feet. I fished all around him, even withing spiting distance and could not get any. I finally caught one after dark. My bait was not very good. I was running the tank off of an old battery that was not getting enough flow. The bait was all red nosed and speckled with red spots. I went out Sunday and hooked the tank to the cranking battery and the bait was good. The old battery was only charging to 10 volts.
Nice avatar Steely, I’m gonna get me one like that when the Islanders win the cup next season…oh yea, and I’m gonna catch a 35 lb striper from lake murray too…
Texas try me on Ch 68 if you have a radio…going out there for a couple of hours if I can make it in time to get bait

islanders huh, that may take a while. But the pens would not have Fleury, Crosby and Malkin without spending a few years at the bottom. They actually should have had Ovechkin too, but they lost the lottery even though they were in last place.
It may take a while for these 20" striper in murray to get 35#'s too.
Managed two before the lightning storm hit last night.
