Had one of the best nights in years. Once I found the fish around 9:30 I couldn’t get more than two rods in the water. Most of the time I used one. Drop it down to around 40’, if they didn’t hit it on the way down they would withing a few minutes. Caught about 35 with 7 keepers. I only kept these 4 that took the hook deep. Fish hit hard and never let go once they hit. I had 5 lines in when I came across them the first time and got a fish on all five. Fishing in 140 to 90 feet of water. Got some good lively herring from Lake World. My last line in got a 24"er.
Left them biting at 12:30. You never really know what they will do at night. Some nights it shuts down at 9:30 and other times it turns on at 9:30. Night fishing just fits my schedule with young kids/work.
sure wish that i had been with you. i am ready to catch fish instead of just going fishing. maybe next time. give me a call.
also; shrimping season comes in tommorrow. we will hit it in a couple of weeks. maybe on a sunday. we have 4 home games in a row coming up starting next week. i will also let you know how we do sat. jeremy and i are going gator hunting in beaufort. he drew a tag. should be a blast. we are going with one of jeremy’s friends who does this quite often. that is good because we really do not have a clue.
