Got on the water about 7:30 and there was a stiff SW wind so we headed over to some sheltered water on the Lex side and fished back in a creek in about 55-60. Picked up about 5 before heading over to the dock to drop off Geronimo and Geronimo Jr. Picked up a a couple more trolling over there. Most all short or barely keeper fish.
Me and Murrymaker stayed and started off trolling untill we marked a bunch of fish on a 55’ hump and decided to anchor up and fish some live bait. Took a long time to draw up some bait, but they finally showed up and we were always at least able to catch enough to keep fishing. Fished anywhere from 35’ to just off the bottom until we got 10…some shorts, a few small keepers and 2 nice ones that were maybe 27" or 28".
Once that wind died it was a beautiful, comfortable night on the water with a light wind and full mooon.
