It’s been a long winter with little to no boating, going saturday come h…well, you know. I have almost no knowledge of stripers, but would like to try on Murray this weekend. I have a 22ft center console, plenty of go juice, map, and GPS. Any and all help will be appreciated.
The fish seem to be in the upper part of the lake, out of SCE&G #3 & #4. Whatch for the feeding birds and fish that area. Freelines and planer boards, or bucktails and iceflies for the schoolers. Best bet is to look at sharky’s reports. That should help you the most. I am heading out either saturday or sunday for the first time in a while. whichever day looks to be better. Good luck.
i haven’t been this week so no reports.i had to go back to work.fished last saturday with sparky caught 7 keepers 3 short fish.i’m not going to post where the fish are due to tourney this sat.i have 2 friends fishing it.several other members read this section and never report anything so i’m going to be selfish.my number is posted in several threads so give me a call.you fellows know who i’m talking about.flatlander, steelytom, cdf, lexx.callme if i can help.
Thanks all for the help. I will try to give you a call Sharky, wouldn’t you know it, I hurt my foot Thursday! I’m still going to try, and yes, I will bring some kitty litter.
dawgfan,
How did you do this weekend. I went out saturday and fished from 2 to 5. The wind made it tough. Went out of shull (kuhn). fished back in the first two bays out of the wind. Caught one 3# bass in the next cove over. Caught an 11# striper off the point between the two. Had a couple other pull downs but the guy I was fishing with was very slow on the draw, he doesn’t really fish much. Only got a pic with the camera phone and don’t know how to post it.
Wind got the better of us too, but still had fun. Thanks to Sharkey who showed me what I needed to do, next time will be better. We had 1 fish, but learned a lot. I plan on going 1st weekend in March, gotta work this one.
