trolled from about 9 untill 3 each day. saturday we ended up with 3 large mouth (2,2,8lb) and 2 stripers that were about 23 inches and threw back 2 more to small.
tuesday ended up with 2 largemouth (2,3 lb) and 1 striper that was 22 inches. we threw back 7 more striper that were all like 19 to 20 inches. alot of fish just a little to small.
i think im finally getting the hang of this trolling thing. i have been trolling 2 rods with umbrella rigs rigged up with the 1$ spinner baits form walmart. the blue/white has been outperforming the red/yellow ones. i re-rigged both with mostly white baits today and both rods seemed to catch about the same amount. as usual the fish hit the 2 baits i dropped back from the rig about 1 1/2 - 2 feet. i put trailer hooks on those. we have been catching most of the fish around bomb island in about 12-20 feet.
i have a favor to ask of the others who use this forum. lets make it good!!! i know there were 10000 people on the lake saturday…well… lets hear what ya caught. ill try to post every time i go out which will probally be every once every week or so. also please stop posting fishing reports under others people post. there hard to find and very few people read them. just start a new post.
