Murray this weekend

Anyone headed out to Lake Murray this weekend? The weather looks nice for tomorrow, and it hasnt rain in a couple of days so hopefully the water wont be so muddy. In tips on were the fish are? Hot water, cold water, muddy water, clearwater

I’m going to be out there tomorrow afternoon/night. Rumor has it fish fish are just below the mud line. Last I heard that was around bomb island

I’m probably going to go out and give it a shot. Haven’t fished this winter but two or three times. Got get out there and see if there’s any activity. I’ll be on Channel 72 (PeaceMaker). I’ll be out saturday and probably sunday as well.

I got three shorts. I fished from crystal lake to the towers. Spent most of the time searching. Fish seem to have moved in the last week. I didn’t really see much bait or fish at any of the places they have been lately. Water was up to 51* mid lake and 46* at the tower. caught one that was 1/2" short at towers. I tried fishing some dock lights at night without a hit.

fished friday with little success. some shorts and one keeper. keeper was full of eggs and had some really nice herring in her belly. first keeper that hasn’t had threadfins in the belly this year. bite might start turning on if they have finally eatin all the dead shad layin around…lol…

Hey guys…I ended up going to charleston to fish with MarshGrass last minute saturday morning. Didn’t get on Murray until around 3pm yesterday and stayed till around six. Didn’t do any fishing as I had the pup and girlfriend with me.

Just cause this is a striper forum don’t mean you can’t tell us how you did offshore!! I saw she was looking to fill a couple of spots last minute. You sure couldn’t have picked a better day weatherwise

Any hoos? Blackfins?

No hoos or blackfins. We caught around 100 black sea bass at a reef on the way back in, kept 20 between the 4 of us. We had a billfish come through the spread as well as a couple knockdowns. Also saw a billfish jump behind our way way back. He jumped about 3-4 times, awesome site. All in all it was a great day and i hope I get invited back. MarshGrass has a beautiful Contender that was rigged very nice.
