Murray Wed morning

What a pleasant August morning. If the wind had been out of the SW rather than the East it would have been perfect. Fished the 60 foot depths at entrance to creek on LHM side of lake. Saw lots of fish between 25 and 35, but I don’t think a gun to their head would make them eat. Managed 4 at 30 feet, and I know all are going to be shocked, but they did not pull hard. I’m sure Friday morning will be better.

All and all sound’s like you had a pretty good day Pattianne! I’m going to try my luck with the stripers Friday on Lake Murray, hopefully the weather will be good. I been reading a lot of the posts on here and I have picked up a lot tips. I sent my application in for MSC yesterday… Ya’ll keep the daily reports coming; I enjoy reading them…

Good luck and have fun. Maybe we’ll get lucky and the wind will shift some on Friday. We joined the MSC two months ago. We think the meetings are pretty neat.

I’ve always done well along the dam or in the channel with an east wind. I know the saying, but it doesn’t seem to hold true for me.

We don’t like to run out that far too often as it is a little distant, but will keep it in mind, especially with an East wind. I think KW186 was fishing the big water in the lower lake and had 3 in the box, but said it was really slow. I guess we got stubborn when we saw all the fish and figured we could wait the fish out till they got hungry, but they won.

Just thinking about it, the water near the dam may very well be the water least impacted by an East wind.

Welcome to the club ssggb22. I’ve been a member for about 1.5 years. It’s a great organization and a fun bunch of folks.

I have been trying to get on the water since Monday but problems keep popping up. I should be able to get out tomorrow. If I do any good I’ll post in the MSC forum.

Thanks crabjack and I wish you lots of luck tomorrow…

Me neither. I like the east wind and say, “wind out of the east, they bite like hungry beasts!”:sunglasses:
