Went down to Murrells Inlet for my old man’s birthday. Friday morning, after taking a good bit longer than usual getting some mullet due to being a bit late in the rising tide, we headed to the jetties to try to get into some bull red action. We spent a couple of hours catching nothing but trashfish and water droplets before we decided to scout out some other spots. The falling tide was much kinder to us. We boated 6 reds in the last couple of hours before dead low. 5 fish were in the slot, with the biggest measuring about nineteen inches. Saturday was particularly slow, other than boating the biggest lizardfish I have personally ever seen. Hoping to get back in a couple weeks.
