murrells inlet report wed 4-24

On my last trip in the boat I broke my prop on an oyster bar, so took the kayak out wed. I’m new to m.b. since moving here from tennessee mountains but spent 8 years in charleston so I’m pretty good with salt water. Anyway, after the trip where I broke my prop came through with 5 flounder I went out in the kayak to try that. Caught 2 under size limit, then headed back. As I’m new to this water I didn’t know that morse landing is dry at low tide, so I couldn’t get back to the truck. Swapped tactics with my unexpected new free time to an old redfish standby I used in charleston and went deep up the skinny. Had a school of reds all to myself. I’d almost forgotten how much fun they were after chasing rainbow trout in tenn for 2 years. Caught 9, hooked 11. Smallest 19 biggest 29 and a half. Getting a prop this week and ready to go again ASAP!

Great report I’m heading out there tomorrow and try and get it done.

Great report. Tried to go out today and the old Jon boat motor didn want to cooperate. If the rain holds off I will head out tomorrow after church on the kayak.

Let me know how it goes. We should get up sometime and paddle around together

Much snot grass…??

I’m tired of being told that I have to “spread the wealth” to people who don’t have my work ethic. I’m tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it. I think I’m going fishing…!!

Had no issues with snot lol, but as I was sight fishing I only had to give it a twitch or two before the syrike so I didn’t give it much opportunity to foul me up
