Not too many fish, but my partiner ran a very large J hook through his hand at the first stop. I’ll carry small bolt cutters from now on. Bent the barb down and gave him a bullet to bite on. Current was running and very large AJs were hungry and almacos were two at a time. Still managed a good box of fish. We were greeted by a DNR officer at the mouth of Shem Creek who escorted us back to the dock. He was very polite and professional. He just checked licenses and the fish. I had to tell him what they were and the size limit. He said that the state was paid by the Federal government to inventoy fish so make sure you’r good. Great day with beautiful weather and good friends. It don’t get much better.

Why am I not surprised about the,I had to tell him what they were and the size limit? One would think that if the Federal government was paying to “inventory” fish they should at least know what it is that they are looking at.
