Please FISH, I have always said that teams with defense win the big games. I asked what all the fuss was about with Oregon in the BCS thread pointing out that they have made a run like this every year for the last 5 years only to lose to the first team that had a good defense. One year it didn’t happen until the NC game against Auburn. I glad it didn’t take that long this year!
Also, I posted it as soon as I saw your post which was at 9:36pm last night. Stanford didn’t score until 3:35 left in the first qtr. I believe the score was 0-0 when I posted, so tell me again how I posted after the game.
What I don’t understand is many of you are fans of a team in the SEC and yet you still undervalue a good solid, physical defense and how it is the answer to these offense. Again, high powered offenses win a lot of games, but great defenses win s championships! Something that being in the SEC should tell you.

Stanford lost to Utah, bottom line! Baylors defense surprised me, but I don’t think they become a legit contender if the rest win out. Now we had better not stumble against Wake or FU!
Play off is always prefered.

OSU has none

Shevlin, you are right but the same could be true for Bama, OSU and Stanford. I was referring to the regular season.

FSU will have one more with the ACC championship (Maybe FU if they can get their ****e together). I just don’t think the Media and the coaches are going to give Baylor much love. I know I wouldn’t want to play them though!

I actually liked Jesse until he the Clemsoning incident. Now I can’t stand him, and I’m not a Clemson fan.
RWL, I would agree with the 2 best teams right now. The same thing I said about Oregon is true for FSU. I want to see them play a team that controls the ball. Clemson and FSU are the only teams with winning records in the Atlantic division.

I think Palmer forgot all about the Stanford loss to Utah. The other guys had to remind him about that.

Bad part Dolphin is after Pollack kept telling him about the Utah loss and how that affected his thoughts on Stanford, Palmer would just say “but I am looking at it subjectively, as if Stanford is playing their A game”. Heck, If any of the top 10 teams play their A Game, they have a really good shot at beating everyone, don’t they!
I agree FISH. Even with FSU not playing anyone like that, they have the biguns and the speed, where Oregon doesn’t have the biguns!!
